Regensburg is a charming
small city in mid-Bavaria, and one my favorite place in Germany.
It's situated on the Danube and has a medieval Altstadt that is nearly perfectly
preserved and which has been lovingly restored. It's large enough to
have all of the comforts, but small enough to be comfortable, and the University
adds just the right amount of energy to the nightlife and cultural scene.

Haidplatz
The Haidplatz is where I
proposed to Thea, so it just seemed appropriate to get a picture of Thijs on
the same spot. He certainly enjoyed the chance to walk around -- the
cobblestones made a nice challenge.
Bismarckplatz
Thijs loves fountains -- he thinks it's just great that they leave these giant
bathtubs all over the place for him. This fountain on the Bismarckplatz
was a big hit.
